On a wool sock walk, you get to experience the winter forest with all your senses. As you walk, you can feel the surface of the snow beneath your feet, and at the same time your senses naturally become more attuned to observing our surroundings. At the beginning of the journey, we awaken our senses to notice the environment and settle into the embrace of the forest. Toward the end of the walk, we hear stories about the sages and wizards of Koli, as well as the spirits of the forest. On this nature-filled excursion, we may also learn to recognize animal tracks in the snow, see the stars, or witness a frost-covered forest sparkling under the light of the moon.
